SOCHUM-

Chair : Ginny Huang 黃智敏

Co-Chair : Ginny Wu 吳芷境

Labors’ Rights within Southern Asia

Hello! My name is Ginny Hwang, a sophomore from Dominican International School, and I will be serving as your President in SOCHUM. I've had a long history with MUN, a journey that started when I made the decision to attend my first conference in 8th grade. Throughout my 3 years of experience as both delegate and chair, Model United Nations has truly helped me not only broaden my perspective and but also allowed me to share in the discourse and community of global citizens. Even though I may seem somewhat hard to approach with my default no smile mode, I’m actually really easy to talk to, so don’t hesitate to approach me anytime during the conference. Outside of MUN, you can either find me writing, watching Netflix, doing policy debate, or just drinking (generally too much) coffee. I hope all of you try to step out of your comfort zone and gain something from this conference!

Hi, I'm Ginny 吳芷境 from Taipei Municipal Da Tong senior high school, and I'll be serving as the co-chair of SOCHUM, DYNAMUN 2017. This will be my tenth MUN conference, while being my first conference as a co-chair. I had participated in DYNAMUN as a delegate for the past two years. Throughout the experiences, I was surprised by the high academic standard and the joyful social event. These are the main reasons that made me sign up for DYNAMUN this year.

I don't have a Facebook account, so if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me on Instagram.🖖🏻🖖🏻

@gchingwu  Hope to see you all in June.

The General Assembly allocates to the Third Committee, agenda items relating to a range of social, humanitarian affairs and human rights issues. Ithas passed over sixty resolutions in which it has covered a wide range of topics concerning the social and humanitarian issues.  The committee’s work focuses on the examination of human rights problems, including reports of Human Rights Council. SOCHUM also discusses the advancement of women, the protection of children, indigenous issues, the treatment of refugees, the promotion of fundamental freedoms through the elimination of racism and racial discrimination, and the promotion of the right to self- determination.
